App store updates and downloads are an extremely important part of the ios device experience. apple’s app store clearly has its faults – a lot of which lie in the discovery of apps and behind the scenes algos that determine visibility – but on the whole, it’s generally a pleasurable experience that is interacted with by millions of people on a daily basis.. In the fast task switcher, which i prefer the ios 8 way better, it seems the most visible. never had this issue going from one ios 8.x version to another. almost makes me want to go back to ios 8.4.1 and let apple come out with ios 9.0.1 to fix bugs..
The ios 9.1 updates do not fix the problem, i have tried ios 9, ios 9.0.1, and ios 9.1, all are very slow on an iphone 6 plus. the device does not have enough ram for whatever they are trying to do with ios 9, it’s a very poorly optimized ios release. ios 8.4.1 is the only answer.. Question: q: very slow wifi downloads from app store since updating to 8.4.0 and then 8.4.1 apps from the app store take forever to download over wifi. they work just fine downloading with the cellular network, but this eats up data. help.. Since upgrading to ios 9 app updates on wifi have slowed to an absolute crawl. currently running ios 9.0.1 on multiple devices (iphone 5, ipad air, ipad mini). all have the same problem. this is totally restricted to app updates only. wifi works fine for any other use, like surfing, youtube, or netflix..
